Taika means ‘magic’ in Finnish, and Klaus Haapaniemi and Heikki Orvola want their illustrations to inspire your own imagination and storytelling. Combined with other essential design objects of the Iittala collection, Taika gives a magic touch to everyday life.

Taika merges folklore and architecture to create a modern world. Haapaniemi unveils a world of mythical creatures, animal hybrids with some human features, living within a flora and fauna based forest. Each Taika piece is hand crafted.

Taika adds a distinctive alternative to the Iittala range, taking further the concept of mix and match. Taika is a simple way to bring a touch of magic to any home, and add a little joy to everyday life.

The design is applied for the pieces in the Taika series is that of Heikki Orvola's Aika with its classic, clean lines.
