One of Swedens most successful designers, Dahlström has received more than 20 national and international design awards. His works are represented in museums like Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Köln, National-museum in Stockholm and Rööhska Museet in Gothenburg.
1999-2001 he was a professor at the University of Arts, Crafts and design (Konstfack) in Stockholm. He has also been teaching at Beckmans School of design in Stockholm.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1957. Björn Dahlström works both in two and three dimensional design. His work includes highly regarded furniture for Cbi, as well as industrial design products for Krups (coffee machines and electrial appliances), Playsam (woodentoys), Skeppshult (bicycels), Iittala (cookware), Magis (plastic products), Plank (furniture), and David design (furniture), Marimekko (printed textiles) and Swedish Museum of Architecture (exhibition design).
Dahlström works in Stockholm and has over the years established himself internationally. In 2001, he was awarded the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg design prize, one of the most prestigious Nordic design prizes.
