Order Confirmation

Shopping online at Northern Icon is a straightforward and secure process.

When you have found a product that you wish to buy, just click on the ‘Add to Cart’ button to add it to your order (you will not be committed to buy at this stage).

You can verify the items in your order at any time throughout your shopping session by clicking the ‘View Your Cart’ link.

You won’t have to buy the items and you can still cancel the order at this point in time. Should you wish to amend your selection, simply click on the ‘delete’ icon next to the product thumbnail image.

To continue shopping, click on the ‘Continue Shopping’ button.

To complete your purchase, click on the ‘Checkout Out Now’ button and follow the instructions.

Your credit card, debit card or PayPal details will then be required together with confirmation of the delivery address. Northern Icon currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, PayPal (E-check / Visa / Delta / Electron / MasterCard / Eurocard / Maestro / American Express), and Bank Transfer payments with the 'Purchase Order' payment method.

You can safely enter your credit card number via the server of your own bank or credit card company, which encrypts all submitted information via a SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). The northernicon.com website has a certificate issued by RapidSSL (GeoTrust) guaranteeing that your transactions are secure.

Once you have successfully placed an order you will be sent an email with an order confirmation with the details of your order.

Your order represents an offer by you to purchase goods from us.

Please note it is the customer’s responsibility to check the confirmation email and notify us immediately of any errors at hello|at|northernicon.com

As your product is shipped from our warehouse we will send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number if available.

Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with our conditions set out below.

Non acceptance of an order may take place in the following circumstances:

  1. The product you ordered is not available.
  2. We are not able to obtain authorization for your payment.
  3. The discovery of a pricing or product description error.
  4. You do not meet the criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions stated here.


Once you place an order with Northern Icon, we check to see that the product is available to the specifications you require, and that all of your billing and shipping information is verified. This process takes us approximately 24 hours. Your order is then forwarded to our distribution centre. If you change your mind and wish to cancel an order within 24 hours, we will be able to confirm cancellation without penalty.

After 24 hours of the order, an order may be cancelled up to the time of shipment at our discretion, but a 15% restocking fee will be applied to the payment method.

An order that is shipped and has left our warehouse cannot be cancelled. Custom and factory orders cannot be cancelled once placed by Northern Icon on your behalf.

Northern Icon reserves the right to cancel or refuse to accept an order due to erroneous information being entered on the website or supplied to us by a supplier or any event outside the control of Northern Icon and we shall not be held liable for any breach of contract resulting from such an event.

Delivery and transport

Delivery dates shown by Northern Icon are non-binding estimates only, based upon the best available information concerning manufacturers lead times, past experience and transportation estimates.

Orders may be shipped on, prior to, or after the estimated date. Delivery terms will be considered as accepted by the buyer unless disagreement is notified to Northern Icon in writing within 24 hours of order placement. Special delivery conditions requested by the buyer should be given in writing at the time of order placement. From delivery or placement into storage all risks for the goods pass to the buyer.

All deliveries must be signed for, and any damages or errors, notified to us within 24 hours of receipt of delivery. Any items not received must be advised within 14 days. We will not be responsible for any non delivered items after this time or failure to advise us accordingly. Someone must be available to sign for the goods during normal working hours and this person should be known to you. We will not be responsible where the person signing for the goods is not the person who has placed the order, or paid for the goods, or the incorrect address details have been supplied, or the carrier is not able to deliver to the address specified by you.


Our specially trained staff check your goods to make sure it’s up to our high standards before we dispatch it to you, so damage is rare. However, if your purchase is damaged or defective you need to follow the following procedure:

  1. Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt. If your purchase is damaged you need to contact us within 24 hours of receipt, by sending us photos of damage to the product and evidence of corresponding damage to the box. No claim for replacement can be made after 24 hours.
  2. Any claim regarding a damaged or defective item must be made initially by email to: hello|at|northernicon.com
  3. Our team will assess the damage and if approved will order you a replacement or repair (where applicable).
  4. The cost of returning the product(s) will be your responsibility and you must insure the transit of the products.
  5. In all cases the product(s) must be adequately packed and in the original packaging to prevent further damage. All returns must include the authorization number issued by Northern Icon clearly marked on the outside of the package.
  6. The damaged item must be returned to Northern Icon within 7 working days.
  7. We will send the return shipping address and any instructions by email.


You can return any item purchased from us if you are not satisfied.

You must contact Northern Icon within 14 days of the receipt of the product. If the product is returned unused in the original box, we will exchange it or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned to the Northern Icon warehouse within 30 days of notification. All products must be packed in the original packaging including any accessories and documentation that was shipped with the product. And we reserve the right to withhold a percentage of the refund value of returned goods if the product or packaging is in such a condition that the item needs to be reduced in price for resale.

For proper credit, a written notice of your cancellation is required, all returns must include the authorization number issued by Northern Icon clearly marked on the outside of the package. Unauthorized returns will be refused. We do not credit shipping and handling charges.

Northern Icon recommends that you,

  1. Use a carrier that offers tracking and,
  2. Either insure your package for safe return to Northern Icon or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit.

If you choose not to,

  1. Use a carrier that offers tracking and
  2. Insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.

Please note that National Postal services offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is often a 30 calendar day waiting period before the post office will initiate a trace.

All returns should be shipped directly back to the company who shipped it to you (there should be a return address on the packaging), using the same method it was shipped (UPS, Post, etc.). If you are uncertain about any of these details, please email Northern Icon Customer service.

Exceptions: Items that have been manufactured according to customer specifications, such as furniture with custom upholstery, cannot be returned. Items that are not in-stock and factory ordered on behalf of the customer, cannot be returned.

All returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Terms of Payment

All prices are quoted in Euros and are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) but exclude delivery charges. For orders shipped outside the European Union (EU), VAT is automatically removed at checkout.

It is the responsibility of the customer to deal with any taxation issues.

Payment can be made by any of the methods specified in the payment section of this website and payment will be debited and cleared from your account prior to despatch of orders.

You confirm that the credit, debit or store card that is being used is yours.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorize payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

The northernicon.com website uses the Euro as its main currency. Credit card and PayPal transactions are conducted in Euros which may be converted automatically by your bank at the current foreign exchange rate. There may be differences between the total sum on this receipt and the amount shown on your credit card or account statement. This is normal, as there are differences in how your bank, and our store calculate foreign exchange rates, the amounts are always small and beyond our control.

Any fees charged by your bank in relation to a transaction are between you and your bank, we are not liable for them.

All items remain the property of Northern Icon until paid for in full.


In the event of a dispute, the Customer must first of all contact Northern Icon in order to attempt to reach a friendly solution. Failing this, the Court of Estonia shall have sole jurisdiction.


Northern Icon reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions without notice. The Terms and Conditions also apply for all Website’s users including those who did not place an order.
