w162 dalston is influenced by the lamps commonly found in workshops and warehouses. These lamps display an honesty and practicality in their light output, materiality and durability. w162 dalston refines and updates this practicality with the latest LED light source, directing light downwards, as well as partly illuminating its outside shade. The materials and construction are equally simple and durable.

A die-cast aluminium LED unit acts both as an efficient heat-sink and as a method of carrying different shade sizes in both spun metal and glass. The method of construction - die-cast LED unit and separate shade - allows for extensive customisation, using the RAL system. This gives you the possibility to match w162 dalston perfectly to any interior specification (Test our new configurator below.) The lamps are suitable for domestic, hospitality and contract use.

Material: The LED unit is made of die casted aluminium and the shade of steel or glass.

Integrated multi-chip LED: The light technology is based on a highly energy-efficient multi-chip LED solution. It consists of a cluster of diodes, instead of several separate diodes. By using multi-chip LED, so called multi-shadows are avoided.

Light distribution: A reflector combined with a diffuser gives a very even light distribution over a large surface.

Glare protection: The construction of the LED unit and the shade protects from glare.

Dimmable: The w162 dalston has integrated dimmable electronics, enabling dimming from external dimmers and lighting control systems.

Coloured inside: Using LEDs to project the light directly downwards, the shade is not used as a reflector. This gives the opportunity to paint the inside of the shade in the same colour as the outside, without destroying the quality of the light.

Customisation: w162 dalston is constructed in a way that allows for extensive customisation (LED unit and separate shade) using two sizes of metal shades (available in a range of RAL colours) or a glass shade (available in two finishes).
