String is made of a set of elements. To Build your own String System, simply add the component parts to the cart. All parts you will need are included as separate products at the bottom of this page.
String Furniture’s shelving systems are practical and the structure is light weight, yet stable. The side panels are simple to mount and the shelves are easy to move around. Shelves of different depths can be combined in the same unit and the frame functions as a book-end. When more shelf space is needed, simply add more units.
Since its launch in 1949, the String Furniture has received more than 15 prestigious international awards. String was originally developed as an affordable and flexible book shelf system that could be added to as owners' book collections increased. It has since become a Swedish design classic and the reason why String still attracts attention after 60 years.
